Son Of Dave – Ain't Going To Nike Town

Sounding like an even more low-fi Alabama 3 (in particular, the Soprano’s theme…you know the one I mean), ‘Ain’t Going To Nike Town’ is a slow, meandering slice of jazzy pop. The vocals are largely spoken, and the beat is just on the right side of silly to be good, and is layered with a smattering of saxophone, harmonica and other such instruments (or, atleast, that’s what it sounds like…I could be completely wrong. He could be playing a badger for all I know).
It’s an odd little song, but I quite like it, and you should too. It’s a fun track..though I have no idea what ‘Ain’t Going To Nike Town’ is actually referring to. Give it a listen.
