Enter Shikari – No Sleep Tonight (Single)

Enter Shikari are growing on me more and more. From a band I wasn’t at all keen on the first time I heard their debut, it’s surprising they’ve risen so high in my estimations. With every listen to their new full-length ‘Common Dreads’, I like it even more.

New single ‘No Sleep Tonight’ isn’t exactly a reason for that…it’s not my favourite song on the album, but that doesn’t mean it’s in any way bad. It’s easy to see why it’s been picked as the next single though; it’s less abrasive than other songs on there, and a bit more ‘safe’ (ie- there’s no rough vocals, or obtuse references to walls/women).

It’s typical Enter Shikari fare – big beats, electro bleepings, and a chorus as big as your face. But enough of that, just buy the album already. It’s fucking ace. If you’re the type of person who buy singles, buy this also. Comes highly recommended.

4 out of 5.
