Ambulance LTD have been around for a few years now, ploughing the same laid-back, slow rock furrow with largely pleasant yet uninteresting results.
As such, it’s hard to get excited about the bands output, this new track included. Not far from being a British Deathcab for Cutie, but falling short on almost all accounts, they are a hard band to recommend. It’s harmless, listenable music that doesn’t concern itself with gimmicks or trying to stand out, which in a way is commendable, but this same lack of originality is also seemingly their downfall. The track blends in with the background and would only be at home in a lonely room, where the largely throwaway lyrics would then come under further scrutiny.
For fans of Deathcab, slow chilled rock.
